The buses have been used by Popcorn, Guillermo Gomez Pena, Culture Clash, Boxcar Theater, Carlos Baron and the SFSU Department of Theater and Teatro Sabor for street plays and performance art.
The busses are the same but different. They are the same size. Each bus is a 40 Foot bus, decorated to look like the Mexican busses of the 40’s and 50’s. They have different seating. El Volado, 65’ GMC, the original bus has 44 seat which all face the front. Lola, 73’ Blubird, has 34 seat and two areas that face each other.

Charters Prices and Payment schedules
Charters are available everyday and evening including Friday and Saturday nights. A charter is not our “Salsa Tour”.
Weekend Charter Price: $650 for 4 hours plus $100 for any fraction of an hour extra.
Weekday Rate is $550. for first 4 hours and then $75 for each additional hour.
A refundable clean up fee for $100 will be charged to your charter if food or drink is on board. Please make a separate cleaning deposit check as most people get it back.
A 10-15% gratuity for the driver is required to be paid to the driver in cash.
For an additional cost: Charters may include a DJ Host, food, refreshments, entertainment, and special planning .
Partial payment of $325 for the charter should be sent in within a week of confirming your reservation. Please put the date of your event in the memo section. And make the check payable to the Mexican Bus.

Full payment can be paid the night of the event in cases where mailing a payment is not practical.
We can send a PayPal invoice if you want to use a credit card. The Mexican Bus will charge %6 for this service.
Cancellations;
If you cancel within 72 hours prior to the day of charter you will receive a full refund.
If you cancel within 48 hours prior to the day of charter a 25% refund will be due to you.
If you cancel less than 48 hours prior to day of the charter, The Mexican Bus will keep the deposit as a cancellation fee.
The cancellation Fee will be charged regardless of the reason for cancellation.
