Brava! for Women in the Arts

The Brava Theater Center is a 13,000 foot multi-purpose performance venue with a Main Theater that seats 364, a Studio Theater that seats up to 100, and an upcoming addition of a street side Cabaret.

Since the theater center opened its doors in 1926, it has been a vaudeville theater, movie art house, and the Brava! Theater for Women in the Arts - which has presented hundreds of theatrical, music, and dance performances, films, and lectures.

Among the artists and companies who have graced the stages of the Brava Theater are: Latin Grammy Winner Susana Baca, John Santos and the Machete Ensemble, Joe Goode Performance Group, AXIS dance, The San Francisco Independent Film Festival, International Latino Film Festival, Tim Barsky's "Bright River" San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus, San Francisco City Circus, Sins Invalid, Purple Moon, Dancing Tree, Queer Queens of Comedy, Sippy Cups, Tegan and Sara, and Woody Simmons concert. BTC has also housed fundraisers for non-profits such as Carecen and Galeria de la Raza.

Booking Policies

How To Book
Hours Of Operation	Brava Theater normally opens for clients and public after 2:00pm. If a renter would like to access the theater earlier than 2pm, they may do so at no additional rental fee, save any Brava event personnel's hourly fee.

Cancellation Policy	It is understood and agreed that in the event of Licensee's cancellation, in whole or in part, the sum paid as of the date of notice of cancellation shall be deemed non-refundable and retained by Brava as liquidated damages in satisfaction of any losses to Brava.
